The Good Power Outage
The power went off
On a warm spring day
So I went for a walk
And saw children at play.
Children and parents,
Enjoying their day,
No TV was a hint,
To find another way.
Together outside,
They actually interact,
Each other confide,
Now that’s a fact!
Computers went down,
Imagination took their place,
Games by families,
Left smiles on each face.
Neighbors met at fences,
Talking of the town,
Like a bygone era,
Electricity unknown.
Power isn’t always good,
It can rob us of our will,
To power our own lives,
And the soil of souls to till.
